A peek at
Our History
St Nicholas Parish in Walnutport was established in 1974. The history of the parish can be traced back to Nicholas Glasser, a German immigrant who settled in Lehigh Township by 1840. He allowed a small building to be built on his land for the purpose of Catholic worship. The first log church was named for Saint Nicholas and built in Berlinsville by Father Tanzer of Easton about 1840. A small cemetery was located beside the church.

A Message From Father
Introducing Our New Pastor: A Brief Overview
First of all, I pray that God will bestow countless blessings upon you and our St. Nicholas parish today and forever.
On July 17, 2025, I was officially appointed by Bishop Alfred Schlert of Allentown as the pastor of St. Nicholas parish. I am very happy to be appointed here and firmly believe that with the cooperation of everyone in our St. Nicholas parish, we will grow stronger and united in love as Jesus Christ calls us to, "love one another" (John 13:34) and "be united in the love of God" (John 17:23).
Our St. Nicholas parish is still very young and modest in number, so to develop and grow stronger, we must sacrifice and dedicate ourselves more. I am confident that with the self-sacrifice and love of everyone, our parish will flourish. Just as Saint Paul called to the believers of Corinth, he calls our community: "I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought" (1 Cor 1:10). This is what we constantly pray for and desire. We not only pray and hope for our parish to grow but also pray and hope for unity and love forever.
Our parish has revamped its website to help people connect, contribute, and stay informed about the parish's activities and schedules. On this website, we can make financial contributions weekly, monthly, and yearly in an effective and quick manner according to our abilities. I ask you all to read the information and contribute through the parish website. I invite you all to attend Mass, pray, and participate in weekly activities at the parish.
I am very thankful for your sacrifices and contributions over many past years. I ask you to continue praying for our parish today and forever.
